I build the physical side of ambitious things — recording studios, research labs, tactile VR platforms, manufacturing floors.
I started as a curious musician and sound engineer and followed that curiosity through work as a technician, researcher, filmmaker, and director. Over the past 15 years that path has meant leading engineering teams and working alongside C-level executives to deliver projects for iHeart Radio, NASA, Disney's ILM, and clients in defense and clean energy.
At iHeart Radio in San Francisco I spent five years designing and building the Total Traffic & Weather Network and the VIP Performance Lounge, where I personally engineered 50+ live radio events with artists including Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, John Legend, and E-40. A research grant took me from there to NASA Ames, where I managed the extremophile laboratory for two years — directing bio-engineering experiments, refining protocols, running procedures, and presenting our data at conferences.
As Director of Engineering & Experiential Design at Nomadic VR, my team and I built a 1,200 sq ft fully tactile VR platform and designed bespoke experiences with partners including Disney's ILM and Area 15. We deployed locations across the U.S. and internationally, among them a Star Wars partnership that ran across seven Simon Malls. In 2020 I took the opportunity during the pandemic to produce, direct, edit, and score a feature film.
That same year I founded Terrafuse Collective, an XR technology and production company specializing in highly immersive experience design. The work has ranged from a WebXR 360 video app to hardware integration for a Qatari military VR training simulator, built ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
Most recently I was Director of Operations & Program Management at Brillouin Energy, running a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Characterization with 12 direct reports across parallel programs. I finished construction of the company's manufacturing facility, directed $5M+ in lab infrastructure, and put operational systems in place that produced roughly $1M in avoided costs.
Every one of these projects came down to the same thing — a hard physical problem and a team worth solving it with. That's what I'm looking for next.
